After six years of styling brides for their most important day, I sold my bridal boutique to focus on being a mom to my daughter and a caregiver to my mom. During that hiatus I realized how much I missed helping women feel their absolute loveliest and decided I’d like to do that again - not just for wedding days but for everyday.

I’ve since had the privilege of helping women identify their personal styles - ones that resonate with their lifestyles, values, and inner selves. When I was little, my mom had a special way of brightening ordinary days.

If we stopped at a gas station, she’d come back to the car with a miniature Reese’s cup. On tough days, she’d pull into TCBY for a parfait. If she spotted one of those trinket racks with names on them, she’d scour the racks until she found mine.

She called these little surprises sursees. Receiving them made me feel seen. Not for my accomplishments. Not for my behavior. Not for any particular reason. Simply for being me. Do you have someone that sees you, like really sees you? Do you ever wish others could see you that way too?

Is Surseen a store or a service?

Glad you asked - it’s both! Surseen started out as a personal styling service with Anna working one-on-one with individual clients, mostly in their homes or shopping in local stores. Now, Anna still offers 1:1 styling services in addition to curating new with tags (NWT), new without tags (NWOT), and excellent condition used women’s clothing and accessories from reputable, high quality mid- to luxury-tier brands.

Where is the physical store located?

5415 Kingston Pike, Suite D, Knoxville, TN 37919 - next to Wild Honey Records and across the street from Lululemon.

What are the store hours?

The store is under construction currently, but is slated to open in mid-January 2026 with starting operating hours of Tuesday - Friday from 9 am - 4 pm and Saturday from 10 am - 3 pm.

What is the Surseen Method?

The Surseen Method helps you identify your personal silhouette and guiding “style words” that define your personal aesthetic. These foundational insights become your compass for shopping, dressing, and styling — so your wardrobe reflects who you truly are, not just what’s trending.

Why do I need style words?

Having 2–3 intentional style words helps simplify decisions and reduce wardrobe overwhelm. Instead of buying more clothes, you’ll make choices that feel authentic, aligned, and true to your personality. Learn more via my blog post here.

Who do you most often work with?

Surseen supports women in all stages of life — entrepreneurs, mothers, professionals, and anyone ready to reconnect with their confidence through personal style. Sessions are available in Knoxville, TN and virtually nationwide.

What is your own Personal Style?

I have a more relaxed style, due to my lifestyle (mom + creative entrepreneur). I also love mixing masculine silhouettes (oversized blazers, boxy tops) with feminine features (shorts and heels, jewelry stacks, deep-v tops, unique purses). My primary lens when getting dressed, however, focuses less on a particular aesthetic and more on the concept of mixing pieces I’ve intentionally purchased new with those I’ve thrifted and been gifted. I created a series called “Thrifted, Gifted, and New” as highlighted here to encourage those who are interested in making more thoughtful purchasing decisions and beginning to incorporate thrifted finds.

Do I need to have the same taste as you to work together?

Absolutely not! The whole point of working with a professional stylist is to have someone with an objective (read: not your bestie or your mom) viewpoint and knowledge of silhouettes, fabrics, colors, trends, etc. to guide you towards establishing your own personal style. Finding a stylist you trust, like, and look forward to working with is what’s most important.
